A ten minute walk along the sea wall (or two minute drive) from Springhaven brings you the village of Dymchurch with it's traditional funfair, coffee shops, a mini-Tesco and the station for the miniature steam railway that connects Hythe to Dungeness.  Just a two minute walk away is the Ship Inn, with decent food and drinks - perfect for an evening out without worrying about driving.
A ten minute drive brings you to either Hythe or New Romney for more shops, larger supermarkets, restaurants and fabulous fresh fish at Griggs of Hythe.
About 15 minutes drive brings you to Port Lympne Zoo for a fun day out.
A little further afield is Folkestone with its fabulous harbour arm where there's always something happening or somewhere to eat, including the wonderful Rocksalt (booking needed) restaurant. Or drive to Dungeness (or take the steam railway) in about 30 minutes to see the lighthouses and walk the fascinating nature reserve.  Dover and Canterbury are both about 45 minutes away and the channel tunnel just 20 minutes.
Springhaven - your perfect holiday house in Dymchurch.  Right on the beach.
